SUPPORT EPSILONS NEXT TOUR!! Epsilons have been selected to be part of a super cool promotion called “Give More, Get More” that our friends at Insound.com are doing. Right now, anytime you buy any digital release from Insound, they will donate 25 cents to a designated tour fund for a band. Insound has pre-selected six bands to offer this tour support to, and Epsilons is one of the lucky six! So please go buy something from Insound now and be sure to check off the box so that 25 cents gets added to Epsilons’ tour bank. You can even tip the band and contribute more if you’re feeling extra awesome. As a special bonus, check Insound for two previously unreleased exclusive Epsilons demos: Evil Robots and Fashion Whore. Full details can be found here.
"When was the last time you heard a band that made your heart speed up and gave you the urge to kick the shit out of everything in sight? If it’s been too long since that’s happened to you, the arrival of Epsilons is going to change everything." – Exclaim!
"The MC5 with a new-wave veneer. It slays those New York kids, by the way. Excellence." – Skratch Magazine
"My new favorite band. Erie organ, new wave handclaps, spazzed out retro guitar licks rounded off with squeaky out of tune vocals. Brilliant." - Maximum Rock'n'Roll
"Not since The Drags have a bunch of rowdy youngsters gotten the garage rock formula so right." – Skyscraper
Epsilons have got something they want to do... to you.
There is no "the" in Epsilons. That's the first thing we have to get straight about this red hot teenage foursome who've come bursting outta the basements of the real OC (Laguna Beach, CA), armed and dangerous and ready to love you.
Epsilons are Ty Segall (vocals, guitar, drums), Michael Anderson (keyboards, drums), Roland Cosio (drums, guitar) and Charles Moothart (bass). Their combined age at the time of their self-titled debut album was 70.
After wayward high school years spent playing notorious blowout OC house parties, Epsilons hitched their way up to LA and quickly became a staple at all ages club/art space The Smell. Proving that to see Epsilons live is pretty much to fall in love, The Smell's new offshoot record label Olfactory signed up the band for a just-released split 7" (with Hips).
Epsilons early demos were recorded with walkie talkies and headphones serving as mics. That led to their first EP, a super-limited pressing out last year on Modern Sleeze Records that sold out at the band’s local live shows.
Download Epsilons' live in-studio performance, recorded for KUCI's ZM Radio.
